Life must be understood backwards, but we often forget that it also must be lived forwards.

Final Fantasy III

Okay, so I have no work, I’m too lazy to practice piano, so I’ve decided to play my Final Fantasy game, which I had received on x-mas. I died eight times on one stage. That was utterly pathetic.

Today is my best friend J’s 16th birthday. Now see, any year that we didn’t have exams, I’d have some amazing gift. But I’ve got nothing… I totally forgot. Damned school. So this morning I was like hey it’s the 30th, one more day left ’til… AW *beep*. Yeah. Well hey, I’ve known her for four years, and have remembered her birthday everytime…. my parents have known my aunt (their sister-in-law) for like 20 years, and they remembered her birthday… today… two days late…so I’m not TOO bad…

Any present suggestions for a happy-go-lucky, upbeat, 16 year old girl? No? Didn’t think so….
I’m thinking charm bracelet…. *sigh* I hate giving presents.

My family and I are watching G.I Joe together~ I can’t wait, I’ve been wanting to see that movie for so long… so now we finally will! *happy*

Seven School Days ‘Til Exams

The semester is winding down. I have a math test on Thursday, a science test Friday, and a careers test on Friday. I have my history presentation on Monday, and my careers presentation on Tuesday, or Wednesday. I have my math exam on the 22nd, my history exam on the 26th, and my science exam on the 27th.

It’s not a bad schedule, but I just wish there was less work, though I think everyone wishes that as well.

I seriously have to stop reading and start studying. Sem One is coming to an end.

Currently: Have hiccups. Irritating things.

Baking Run Amok

If you were to walk into my kitchen at this very moment, you’d see baking pans everywhere, measuring cups filling the sink, spoons across the counter, and pots filled with unidentifiable substances. Then, somewhere between it all, you’ll find the small products of hard work and big messes.

Today was our little, kind of, baking day. The oven runs 24 hours, and the mixer is on non-stop. I believe we made about 12 batches of shortbread cookies, 5 batches of rugelachs, and 3 batches of …. something snaps… all of which took about 16 hours, a ton of work, and a lot of energy.

However, even through all that baking and dishwashing, I found that baking with my family was fun. Or well, baking while they were watching you. I baked the cookies, my mom, my sister, and myself baked the rugelachs, and my mom baked the snaps, while my dad enjoyed the products.

I guess the holidays ARE about spending time with your family, and also cooking for them, but in the end you can all just sit back, relax, and enjoy the desserts~

Currently: Typing out this story I’ve been working on for a while. Whether it’ll be any good is beyond me.
