Life must be understood backwards, but we often forget that it also must be lived forwards.

Biology’s a ….. nevermind.

I hate tests. They shouldn’t be allowed to exist. Sigh. I mean, just give us the lesson. You don’t actually have to test our knowledge or give us a mark. If we want to learn, we’ll listen, and we’ll learn. If we don’t, then there are other people in the class who would love to listen to you banter about a subject that I really don’t care about.
From English, I learn new words and all that jazz; Science, I learned about climate and optics, which will come in handy in my future; History, I can relate to many events in history that come up in like presidential/prime minster…al? speeches, or during the school day when we celebrate stuff like Martin Luther King day; Careers and Civics, well that’s the stuff I’ll need when I’m older and have to deal with the jail system (not that I’m thinking about getting arrested or whatever) or getting a job (I think we all need that… unless you’re a hobo then that’s a different story); In Business, you learn about the TSX, businesses, how they run, etc. I might just need that in life. Especially the TSX stuff. Everyone buys stocks these days; In Technology, we learn how to use tools and how to handle wood. Knowledge that I’ll probably use when helping my dad fix our basement; In Biology, I learned enough to be able to identify certain problems/bacteria/organs/enzymes when watching shows like Dr. Oz. All this I learned through school. As much as I hate half those subjects, I still learned something useful. However, I don’t need to be tested for EVERY SINGLE unit, chapter, whatever! It’s pointless, and just makes me rant, as I’m currently doing… Sigh

Also notice how math isn’t there at all? Well, seriously? When will I need to know the equation of a line or parabola. When will I need to know all this trigonometric equations and formulas. I still have them all memorized, but have yet to use it in the real world. All of the useful math, I learned in gr 4-6. Done.

Another good video for Shugo Chara. This time, Utau is also in it.

This is a great opportunity to whoever can sing (I can’t!) Aha~ I love Marianas Trench music~

Quatchi, Sumi, Miga and Muk Muk: Vancouver 2010 Olympics

Yesterday, was the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. I, personally, thought that the whole thing was just stupid. They focused all of it, practically, on the Native/First Nation people. The government treats them like unwanted garbage, and then feature them in the Olympics. Not that it’s bad, it’s just hypocritical. They should have focused on the fact that Canada was multicultural, seeing as there were a lot of various cultures there, in the stadium, who will be participating in the games. However, I did think the light show was pretty cool. Nikki Yanofsky is an amazing singer, who sang the 2010 Olympic Theme on the CD and O Canada at the beginning of the Opening Ceremony. At the end, the opera singer who sang the Greece Olympic Theme (the traditional theme) was CREEPY… maybe it’s just that I’m not a great fan of opera singing, but I just didn’t like it… at all…

I love Miga~ It’s so cute^^

Making fun of MukMuk

I just found that funny~

Unfortunately, yesterday, before the opening ceremony, an athlete from the Georgian team died while practicing for the Skeleton event. The Skeleton is when you’re diving head first on a sled going around the track at around 140 miles/hour. He had flown off his sled and instantly hit a metal pole to the side of the track, killing him. His death was acknowledge during the opening ceremony by the Georgian team, as the brought in their flag with a black ribbon on the pole, and wearing black scarves and straps on their arms.
Terrible accidents happen in any sport. The Skeleton is one of the most dangerous events to be tangled with, and those who go into it know what can happen. However, even with the acknowledgment of the dangers, it is still a loss.

Okay, back to the boring life of lil’ ol’ me~
Eh, didn’t do anything interesting, except go out for dinner at the rat infested Chinese restaurant. I don’t know why we keep going back there after the rat incident… but we do.

Also, yesterday I finished Darklight by Lesley Livingston. The end was crazy, and totally unexpected. Like the last chapter made me sad… no I didn’t cry… this time… I felt so bad for Sonny, especially after everything he went through. He didn’t even know, half the time, what was happening to him, nor what was within him. And I felt sorry for Kelley too, she practically killed both their happiness with one blow. I wonder if Fenn and Kelley are going to get together, because obviously, Fenn is in love with Kelley. Obviously~~

Today, so far has been boring. Piano, then shopping for groceries, yay….

The Marks Are In… and the loser is…

Today, my math mark was given to me. It ended up being a 69. How epically sad. Hey, at least I didn’t fail~~

History:90
Civics:93
Math:69
Science:—-
Total average of know marks:84%
Hopefully my science mark boosts it a little…

Eh. At least my class’s average is higher than the other HMST class~~ probably because we have the two geniuses… *sigh* If only I was one of them….

My science teacher bugs me. She’s like the slowest marker in the whole world. We handed in this project and the other class got it back, but she’s only done half of them, and when we do a test, we recieve it a month later, and take it up the next month. Then, when she’s teaching us stuff, she doesn’t right proper information on the board, leaving us with no notes, and me with no information what-so-ever due to my short-term memory. Plus, when you ask a question, she’s always like “Refer to your textbook and if you can’t find any information, check the internet” and if not that then “I don’t know. Check the internet and tell me tomorrow” Like seriously?

Eh. So long as my mark is good, I’m happy. And so long as I don’t have her as a teacher ever again after this year then, I’m even more happy~~

Currently: Staring blankly at my math homework, wondering if I should even bother trying
