Life must be understood backwards, but we often forget that it also must be lived forwards.

Thanksgiving and TV

I’m thankful for so many things in my life that so many others find so trivial. I’m thankful for my two amazingly irritating parents, my stupidly vexing siblings, my health, and all I have in life, even my education. I may not have an iPod, or a new wardrobe for the fall, but I have so many things others don’t get a chance to have. Like school, or something to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. These few things are something that people bitch and complain about all the time, yet they don’t know how lucky they are to have what they do. Sure, school could be annoying, but it’s something that so many are deprived of. Yes, I’m getting into one of those “you know, kids in Africa don’t have such and such” lectures, but it is true. I know I’m not one to talk. I wish my school would burn down and some of the things I have to eat, I wish I could just chuck it out the window. But I do appreciate them, when I look at my life, it might not be the most glamorous but I’m still here. Getting a good education, with a whole family, I’m so lucky. But being only human, we always want more. No one is totally altruistic, we all have complaints and wants. Just cause some people don’t voice it doesn’t mean that it’s not there. But that’s just us. Greedy, annoying humans, who don’t realize how much we already have, before we want more.

Now, after that speel, I’d bet you’d think that i spent the day donating canned food to the needy. But no. I spent it watching TV, doing dishes, practicing piano, and, what do you know, complaining about life. That’s just in my nature, and how I’ve been and always will be. Ah. I spent most of the day vegging in front of the TV watching Jonas and Sonny with a Chance. Whoo, exciting life, don’t ‘cha think? Yeah…

Ah. This week is lacking a lot of school. Monday, today, no school. Tuesday, late start and comps in math. Wednesday, we’re making paper airplanes in math. Thursday, half day. Friday, well it’s Friday. Well, okay, this week is more of a lack of math class that thrills me, but you have to say, there isn’t too much school this week. YAY~

THINGS I’M THANKFUL FOR:
1.friends-always there to catch me when I fall
2.family-my base
3.my health-I need this man, or else… well….
4.my books-hey, I’m a bookworm. sue me o-o.
5.my computer-better than a phone
6.my television-entertainment o-o
7.my pencils and paper-writing is my life
8.music-could not live in a world of silence…

Apple Picking and a Classic Kelsey’s Dinner

Today, my family and I went on our traditional trip to Chudleigh’s apple farm, to, naturally, pick apples. Every year, we spend half a day at the farm to pick apples, take pictures and buy some pie. It’s a great way to make new memories and hang out with the family, though sometimes it’s not the most desirable things in my life, it’s usually fun. We started out at 8:00 am towards the farm, getting there around 9:00 – 9:30 am. We took a ride on the tractor into the orchard, spent about three hours picking up a ton of Red Delicious apples, and headed out of the orchard by tractor. My brother and sister joyfully played around on haystacks, and the playground, while I joyfully sat on a bench and chewed gum. You could see my enthusiasm was at it’s highest level. Then we drove home. The End.

I think this year was our last visit there cause the prices are skyrocketing, which didn’t thrill my parents so much… eh. I’ll miss that place though, it’s one of the few places that has been in the photoalbum every single year of my life. Even when I was one we went.

Tonight, the whole family’s getting together again for thanksgiving dinner a day early, at Kelsey’s, which’ll probably epically fun. Hopefully, there won’t be any visits of rats at this place, or else my mom will never step foot into a restraunt again.
