Life must be understood backwards, but we often forget that it also must be lived forwards.

Blinded

Okay, I have no reason for why that’s today’s title. Though the song is good (Jason Derulo).

So today was a simple, ordinary day. Classes, work, homework, lunch, more classes, work, and homework, and then time to go home. My life is so interesting.

I’m just happy. One more day of this week, then Report Cards on Monday, late-start on Tuesday, and a P.A. Day on Friday, leading into a four day weekend thanks to Family Day.

So I’m actually liking Business, only because it actually has something to do with life. Like the TSX or the company for iPods, or the richest man alive. You get to know these things through watching the news and glancing at the newspaper every now and then. I was happy when I found I was one of the few who knew that Toronto actually has a lacrosse team (who like wins it all every year).

In Bio, it’s okay. The textbook is nice, it has a flower on it (yes, I’m a loser). We did a scavenger hunt today, and I was third done…(first person got a prize(though it probably wasn’t anything good))… oh well.

Lunch… was lunch. Yay!

Tech was… eh. Our teacher is… eh. I think she thinks I ask too many questions. Plus, her assignment, which I really should be doing right now, confuses me, really only because I don’t get it.

Histor-I mean- English was, well, it was as boring as anything. We were supposed to finish a sheet, but we ended up talking more about history than English. It’s like retaking the course! Ah well, so long as I do well, I’m happy. My friend T spent the period half asleep, then he reorganized my pencil case, sharpened his pencil with my exacto-knife, and then played with his watch for the period. However, I really don’t blame him. ‘Fireball’ (my friend’s nickname for him) was like sitting up straight in class, looking like he was paying a lot of attention. The only thing that gave him away, was his closed eyes. He actually fell asleep sitting up straight. I can’t even maintain that position when I’m wide awake! But that was hilarious.

Boys Before Flowers is getting interesting. Domyouji is so stupid though (in a funny way).
‘This place had better have good cake. It needs to satisfy my tum-tum!’
‘Patience is a virtue’ *runs around table three times* (me: what was the point of that?)
‘That’s it Nee-Chan! I feel as if I’ve just been struck by lightning!’ (ouch…)
But he’s so cool~ But I love Rui better, just cause he looks WAY better than Domyouji.

First day back

First day back and the homework attacks. I already have bio homework, which I think is kind of sad. I know, I know, “Wait until you get to university, then you’ll be crying!” but I’m not in university yet, so I can complain about the now, because that’s all I know.

So my schedule got messed up, so I have Business first period, Bio second, lunch, Tech Design fourth, and English last. Bio and Eng switched for me, so I went from a good bio teacher to a bad one. Plus my English teacher, I just don’t understand. It took me a while to figure out he was talking about the Prime Minister, which then somehow turned into a lecture about consuming snakes in Africa. Me and my friend T spent the period wondering what the heck he was trying to tell us.

My friend Danica got me to watch this Japanese drama: Hana Yori Dango (Boys Before Flowers).

Description:

Makino Tsukushi is the only poor student at Eitoku Gakuen, the school of the ridiculously rich and privileged that is ruled by Flower 4 or F4, a group of four boys who come from extremely powerful families: Domyoji Tsukasa, the leader and heir of the Domyoji World Finance Group; Hanazawa Rui, the introverted son of a large company; Nishikado Sojiro, a player who is the heir of a tea ceremony school; and Mimasaka Akira, a madam killer with ties to the underground. If a student gets on the F4’s bad side, he/she gets a red notice and is bullied and driven out of school.

Makino hopes to pass her days quietly– without drawing any attention to herself– but one day, she stands up to Domyoji in defense of her friend. The next day, Makino gets the dreaded red notice. Even though she is harassed, Makino decides to keep going to school because she is a “tough weed”. She declares war right back on the F4. Her resolve gets the attention of her crush Hanazawa Rui and oddly enough, rouses romantic feelings in her worst enemy, Domyoji Tsukasa.

The series is based on the Japanese shoujo manga “Hana Yori Dango” (Boys Before Flowers) by Kamio Yoko.

That’s the description from the site. So far, it seems pretty good, though some parts are really funny, while others make me want to bang my forehead against a wall (mainly in the scenes with her family). I just finished episode three, so it probably gets better soon.

Two Days Left

Two more days of freedom, and then back to school we go. Oh well, it was fun at least.

Yesterday, I went to Yorkdale, and we spent two hours in the Bay shopping for a suit for my dad. What a waste of two hours. Then after, we got five minutes in Indigo, and then we had to go, because my dad had to go get his hair cut. That was probably the most boring trip to Yorkdale I’ve ever had. Sigh.

So my actual Internet is kind of..used up. So if I don’t post (like yesterday) you’ll know why~

I watched How to Deal yesterday~ It was good. The movie was a mix of Sarah Dessen’s books This Summer and Someone Like You. The screen writer was able to mix the two together well. Granted, it wasn’t like crazy like Harry Potter, nor was it enlightening and amazing like Avatar, and it wasn’t about sparkly vampires like Twilight. But it was pretty good overall.

Yesterday, I also watched the Grammys. I loved the performances so much. Pink’s performance was awesome. She was singing while being pulled up on a piece of white fabric, and in the middle, she was dipped in water, which she sent flying over the audience in a fountain at the end of the song as she spun downwards back onto the ground. Taylor Swift was able to walk off with many wins, including the Album of the Year award, winning it over Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Beyonce’s performance was good too. She was singing If I Were A Boy. I love her dress in the performance~~ Lady Gaga opened the show singing Poker Face, and then another song with Elton John. As always, her performances were creepy and yet great.

Also, last night, they did a tribute to Michael Jackson. They showed a part of his movie, This Is It, and they sang with him, in a way. Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Smoky Robinson, and Jennifer Hudson all sang with Michael (his voice from the movie). The whole tribute was introduced by Lionel Richie, who had co-written ‘We Are The World’ with Michael years ago. The tribute was touching, and after his children came up to the stand to thank the audience for the Michael’s award.

This year’s Grammy’s was definitely one that would never be forgotten.
