Quatchi, Sumi, Miga and Muk Muk: Vancouver 2010 Olympics

Yesterday, was the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. I, personally, thought that the whole thing was just stupid. They focused all of it, practically, on the Native/First Nation people. The government treats them like unwanted garbage, and then feature them in the Olympics. Not that it’s bad, it’s just hypocritical. They should have focused on the fact that Canada was multicultural, seeing as there were a lot of various cultures there, in the stadium, who will be participating in the games. However, I did think the light show was pretty cool. Nikki Yanofsky is an amazing singer, who sang the 2010 Olympic Theme on the CD and O Canada at the beginning of the Opening Ceremony. At the end, the opera singer who sang the Greece Olympic Theme (the traditional theme) was CREEPY… maybe it’s just that I’m not a great fan of opera singing, but I just didn’t like it… at all…

I love Miga~ It’s so cute^^

Making fun of MukMuk

I just found that funny~

Unfortunately, yesterday, before the opening ceremony, an athlete from the Georgian team died while practicing for the Skeleton event. The Skeleton is when you’re diving head first on a sled going around the track at around 140 miles/hour. He had flown off his sled and instantly hit a metal pole to the side of the track, killing him. His death was acknowledge during the opening ceremony by the Georgian team, as the brought in their flag with a black ribbon on the pole, and wearing black scarves and straps on their arms.
Terrible accidents happen in any sport. The Skeleton is one of the most dangerous events to be tangled with, and those who go into it know what can happen. However, even with the acknowledgment of the dangers, it is still a loss.

Okay, back to the boring life of lil’ ol’ me~
Eh, didn’t do anything interesting, except go out for dinner at the rat infested Chinese restaurant. I don’t know why we keep going back there after the rat incident… but we do.

Also, yesterday I finished Darklight by Lesley Livingston. The end was crazy, and totally unexpected. Like the last chapter made me sad… no I didn’t cry… this time… I felt so bad for Sonny, especially after everything he went through. He didn’t even know, half the time, what was happening to him, nor what was within him. And I felt sorry for Kelley too, she practically killed both their happiness with one blow. I wonder if Fenn and Kelley are going to get together, because obviously, Fenn is in love with Kelley. Obviously~~

Today, so far has been boring. Piano, then shopping for groceries, yay….

Lord Of The Flies

Okay. So I hate this book. I’m not sure if it’s the food source, the hunting, the killing, or the fact that they’re all guys running around in their underwear. Sure. It has meaning and all that, but it’s so disturbing.

Okay, I’m going crazy over Hana Yori Dango. Domyouji turned into such an a-hole. Oh Gosh, I cried again cause of Makino. When she was talking to Tsubaki (sp) (Domyouji’s sister) she was like saying all these things and I cried, cause she was crying. I’m so soft. And am still in dire need for a life….

Okay, I’ve got nothing else to say today so yeah.

Hana Yori Dango

Yay~~ I finished the first season of this drama this morning. I’m so soft, I cried at the end. It wasn’t sad, per say, it was more sweet~ Domyouji, his words made me tear up. Okay… I shouldn’t give away any spoilers, that’s mean. But my questions is what happens in the second season. I love the last line of second season’s description:
Will this become a love… square?
This makes me want to watch the season so much~~! But I have to be good with the internet usage… or my dad’ll take away my computer. But if he does, my marks would probably go up…hehehe…..

The saddest part about watching HYD is that now, everytime someone mentions something like Harry Potter, I think of HYD. Just now I was thinking about how my posture sucks, and automatically I thought of HYD. Sigh. I need a life.

I was bored yesterday, so I decided to post a bunch of poems on here. Yes, that is what I do at times of boredom.

Currently: Writing a story. And yes, it’s different from the one that I stole a part of and posted.

Typical Saturday

Ah, today was a usual, typical Saturday. Piano in the morning, computer, then my sister’s dance class, computer, blah, blah, blah, and computer. You can see I tend to waste away my life in front of the computer.

Hana Yori Dango is getting good. What am I saying? It’s been good since the beginning. I’m almost done the first season (this is the Jap version, in case you haven’t figured that out yet). I’m on the last episode and she’s like in some beauty pageant kind of thing. Cliffhanger, that’s what the end of ep 8 was. Don’t worry, I won’t give away anything. Poor Rui though… (hehehe~~) Sojiro and Akira are like the most mature. When Rui fools with Domyouji, and finally admits it, they’re both like ‘WHAT THE HECK *sigh*’ It’s so funny~~

I watched Step Up for the first time yesterday (yes I’m really slow with movies) (that’s the area I procrastinate the most in). It was good, but that might just be because I like Chatum Tatum’s acting. GI Joe, She’s the Man, all his movies are good, but that might also be because of the other actors. I love Amanda Bynes’ acting too, she always plays the hilarious, silly character, with like two lines of seriousness. Which then makes me think of Oliver James, whom I think looks good and is great at acting too. And then comes Hilary Duff, who used to be my, like, idol, and is now in Gossip Girl as Olivia. Her singing was what I loved about her.

Okay I think I’m done with my analysis of stars for now.

Evacuate the School!

So today was very interesting, yet very boring.

This morning I was sitting outside my history room (even though I don’t actually have that class), since my business room’s hallway was lonely. Then Danica cam over and told me to go upstairs with her when my friend V came. So we went, and when we opened the doors to the second floor, I immediately smelt gasoline. After saying this, thinking that it was probably just some chem accident, the principal or the vice-principal came onto the PA system and told us that because of the ‘mysterious’ odor, classes on the second and third level were cancelled. My first period class was on the first floor, so I had to go to class, while Danica went to the cafeteria (where classes that were even numbered were placed). After, they continuously updated us (exasperating my teacher), saying that the fire department was there, and they were venting the second and third floor. For second period, I was in the auditorium (where classes with odd numbered rooms were sent) and was bored to tears for an hour or so.

At lunch time (well, before lunch), they announced that we would have to evacuate the school due to a gas leak on the second level. Everyone was jumping for joy. No class! No homework! Too bad I was one of the few who did have homework. Sigh. So today was basically a half day, due to the fact that our health was in danger. This took them about three hours to figure out. Thanks.

Maybe if they can’t fix it fast, we won’t have school next week too! Hehehe~~ Okay, well technically that would NOT be a good thing, seeing as how we’d have to make up for a week’s worth of work, but hey! Freedom is good sometimes.

Stressful Thursaday

Sigh. I’m tired. And I have two tests to study for for tomorrow. Joy.

I know this isn’t funny, but I can help but smile a little when I think of it. A few days ago, someone, or ones… tried to set the school on fire. In two of the first floor girls bathrooms, someone filled the trashcan with a bunch of paper, and used a lighter, or match, and set two bathrooms on fire. Unfortunately, it happened at four so everyone, except for the poor girls volleyball team (who were wearing their t-shirt and shorts volleyball uniform). That’s pretty epic that someone actually tried to set the school on fire. Too bad it didn’t actually burn down to ashes. Now we have to still do exams….

Can’t Wait

I can not wait until second semester. No more math. That’s my mind set right now. Determination to finish math so I don’t need to see it until next year~
My life is basically non-existant right now, so I’ll leave it as just this today. I’ll write something more tomorrow… or Saturday…
