Life must be understood backwards, but we often forget that it also must be lived forwards.

Talent Show

Today was the school’s talent show, but I’ll get to that later.

Business, I think our teacher is seriously starting to hate the class. He seems kind of angry all the time now, as if he’s ready to blow up in a second. I don’t blame him though. In our class there’s always like only five people who answer, and then he seems to not like two of the five. Plus, people are always talking and stuff. The problem is, he’s really nice, and people take advantage of that. Oh well, I can’t control em, and I’m not going to try… as much as I like him as a teacher, I also like that I’m not really hated by anyone… well almost anyone…

Biology, we had a quiz and then… what did we do? Just like talk? Oh wait. We got an assignment for some debate about the ‘Planet Earth’ movie we watched yesterday, which I had fallen asleep whilst watching it.
Great…

So Talent Show. It was … interesting.
First up: NV cheerleaders. Lots of kicks and dancing and pyramids.
Next: Some girl singing an original song, it wasn’t too bad…
Dance Crew Time. Some Filipino group danced, and they were pretty funny.
Then my friend Anna’s brother performed a long arse piano piece. That was so boring. I’m sorry, but seriously…
Two guys performed a song (instrumental (piano and drums)) called God Knows.
Then a girl sang ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz
Followed by another dance group that did a dance in another assembly with the song ‘So Dope’ this time with Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’
M (another friend… kinda… again) sang ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus. It was good (the vocals) but the dance was so … well… yeah… she shouldn’t dance, let’s just say that…
Then a girl dance crew, all asians, they were good. Guys loved them -rolls eyes- pigs.
After, R and D (two guys that are friends (kinda) of mine) played some song on electric guitars. They were REALLY boring… It sounded like they were at a funeral or something… Then for one second, they had a interesting section, and D flew onto his knees as if he was a heavy rocker… it was…. pretty boring. I’m sorry to say…
My (kinda (again)) friend A’s brother’s girlfriend played a piano piece. I liked her performance because it was a song that I’m currently playing : Le Coucou. Funny name, but annoyingly easy but complicated song. Yeah…
Then an Asian girl sang ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift which wasn’t bad, except for the chorus…
After, some kid played a guitar solo kind of thing that was really good, but his amp was pretty low, so that kind of killed it.
Then my friend O sang ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’ by Beyonce which was really good, but kinda dragged on…
Lastly, the teacher’s did this whole band rock and roll thing again. It was really awesome.

I think there were a few I missed, but knowing me I’ll never remember until I’m reminded.

Also, today, after school, I watched the Oprah Winfrey Show : Twilight Saga : Eclipse
So she had Rob Pat, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Dakota Fanning on. Rob was pretty funny, and he spoke the most. I know that a lot of girls are obsessed with him, but I don’t get why. Other’s hate his guts. Again, I don’t get why. He’s not the greatest looking person, but he’s not the worst person out there. He’s not bad with things like interviews, but you’ll never see me drooling over him. It’s not him that everybody loves and hates, it’s his character. I just find that dumb. I’m sorry, but seriously, this whole Twilight thing is out of hand. Through the show, Oprah showed clips of Rob Pat going around to stranger’s houses where he’d knock on their door, and give them tickets to the premiere of Eclipse with Oprah. All of these people were fans of Twilight, and even more obsessed with Edward Cullen. It’s crazy how these people are so obsessed about this series. It’s not that godly. Sigh.
Then TL went to a Sorority House on a university campus, I think. All the girls were obsessed with him, and when he walked into the room, they all like spazzed. Crazy obsessed people…

Best series: Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare or Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (for the supernatural obsessers. Go read those, and you shall toss Twilight out the window. Seriously…)

Finished

Photobucket

My sister’s present, I was successful~!
Just wanted to show it..

Oh yeah! I finished The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong on Saturday. It was so good, an awesome finale to the trilogy~
I also bought Burned by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast, but I’m wary of reading it. So far, the series has just been getting worse and worse as each book is released… I might just read it, and then return the book out of protest (if it’s bad). This book is supposed to be the best of the series, but they said that about Breaking Dawn too… and look what a let down that was…

Sick

Ugh. I’m sick today. I was sick yesterday too I guess…
I haven’t really been posting any actual ‘daily life’ posts for a while, just poems… I just noticed that.
So I was going to post yesterday, I really was… but then I almost collapsed, so I ended up just sleeping at 9pm. Ironic that in Bio I’m learning about viruses and stuff, and suddenly, I get one.

I have a Business test tomorrow. That will be fun, seeing as I won’t have the review stuff I’m supposed to get today… Yeah I’m home…
Then I have a Biology quiz on Friday. Even more fun. Sigh.
Also, sometime between tomorrow and another day, I have a Bio assignment due and then a tech assignment… I should really start those…

Tomorrow’s my sister’s birthday, so I’m making her present right now, a bracelet. Hopefully it’ll turn out as I have planned it…

So yesterday before I had my like mental and physical breakdown (which did not happen because of the fact that..) I watched Gossip Girl. So Blair is back, yay~ as in she is queen and not some weak girl pining over her relatioship…and I do wonder if she and Chuck get back together… they were such a good couple~ Nate and Serena are just as good though~
Two more episodes (I believe) until season three is done. And then GG is on re-run (or no run…) mode until September. Next season, I think, is the last season of the epic and scandalous world of the Upper East Side, GG style. Also, Taylor Momsen will be gone from the last season, due to her band’s tour. Jessica Szohr will also be absent from a few of the fourth season’s episodes (so her relatioship with Dan will be post-poned) (YAY!).

Currently: Building my sister’s birthday present

Reading: Just finished The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz, will probably start to try to read Burned by P.C. and Kristen Cast

Story Time~

Eric.

“I have to tutor you. What. The. Hell!” She snapped loudly, walking down the hallway. Few people glanced our way. Instead of being surprised at her outburst, they were watching me, as I followed her through the crowd.

“What do you mean you have to tutor me?!” I snapped back. A tutor, especially her, didn’t fly in my world. I was bad at chem., but I had accepted that long ago.

“Just that! Argh!” We wound our way towards the school’s exit and I followed her down the field behind the school. “And why are you following me.”

“Step-ass took my car,” I told her rolling my eyes. “Might as well have some company.”

“I’d rather a hobo’s company.”

“But there aren’t any hobos around to spare, so you’re stuck with me.” I could practically hear her eyes roll. We made our way into the small alleyway that was a shortcut to many students’ houses. It wasn’t really an alleyway, though everyone called it that. It was just a small path cut into the strip of trees that surronded the school. The ground was still dirt, and there was a tall fence, so there was no way for kids to climb over and run away from home, and it was harder to get jumped, but not impossible. Which was why, when I heard rustling behind me, I paid no attention. It wasn’t until Kristen swore that I looked carefully at the people ahead of us.

They were in their usual black clothes. The girls in tight shirts and pants, and the guys in baggy sweaters and jeans. I turned to look behind me and saw that they had been following us. The alley was the worst place to get attacked by them, mainly because it was harder to get away. They also didn’t like me much, which probably didn’t help us. I had injured a good lot of their gang. Either by them attacking or me getting pissed off at the step-ass and hunting them down.

Their leader was J-EZ. I had no clue what that stood for, but she was pretty tough, she was the only gang member who seemed serious about her position in the gang and she was the only one with a gun, though she rarely carried it. She had short, boy-cut, black hair, chalk pale skin, and striking green eyes. She had strengthened the gang so much more since she got here during the summer. Apparently, she was the former leader of a gang some place south. However, compared to her, everyone else in the gang was either really wimpy, had no strength, or ran really slow. So basically, everyone just sucked at being a gang member.

“Sterling,” she said. I nodded.

“Can I help you?” I asked.

“No, but you can explain why Greene was lying unconscious at the gas station.”

“I wouldn’t know. He probably tried to kill someone, but they knocked him out before he got the chance.”

“Then what’s with the shiner? Hm?”

“My step-dad’s got a temper the size of China.”

“Liar.” And then she pulled out her gun.

 Kristen

I swear, only walking home with Eric could I encounter a gang with a gun. And only in my world would I just happen to know the person holding it.

I didn’t feel like boring everyone with my complaints about life, school, etc. So I decided to post some random part of a random story I’m writing. If I ever decide to post another bit of a story, I’d bet you it’d be from something totally different from this one. I scrap them fast.

Freedom~~

Today was fun. Well, the afternoon was…

I went to piano classes as usual, then me and my family went to this swarovski bead/jewellery shop and I bought around $80 worth of stuff. Yay~ Then we went to eat at my favourite restaurant~~^^ Later we went grocery shopping for a little bit, and then I went to go see New Moon with my friend J. It was a good movie~ Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were really good in the movie, and while watching the previews, we saw Rob Pat’s other movie, Remember Me, and I want to go see that now, not because of Rob Pat, cause no offense he’s not the best looking guy, but because the movie seems really intense, with a good story line. Hopefully it lives up to my expectations^^ Then I had pizza, and now I’m here. Winter Break is fun so far. Now I’ve got to go do the dishes. Yeah, not fun but hey, it’s a part of life!

Currently: Going to go wash dishes

Remembering Sunday

Remembrance day is Wednesday and through tradition, my family visits the cemetery the weekend before it. My grandmother’s parents are there, along with my aunt. My aunt was killed when she was eighteen, so naturally, I never met her. She was riding home in a taxi from her friend’s house. In the middle of an intersection, the taxi got T-Boned by another car, instantly killing her and the taxi driver. Every year, we visit her, along with my great-grandparents around Remembrance Day, Christmas, and Easter.

And after every visit to the cemetery, there must be a meal. Usually we go to this Chinese restaurant called Empire or was once called New World, which was bought out by Empire, but then last year the restaurant (Empire) closed down. Don’t know why, but it did. So today, we ended up going to the Best Dragon Chinese restaurant on Steeles across from Centerpoint. This was the very same restaurant that we had seen a rat a few weeks ago. Very appealing, don’t you think? My sister, dad, and I had to listen to my mother rant about the germs and diseases that are lodged in the restaurant for the 30 minute ride over to the restaurant. Fun.

Overall, the meal was good, and no rats made an appearance today. It was just a normal family get together, which was quite enjoyable.
